Wall Street’s stock market climbed strongly during Monday’s session. This is in continuation of the noteworthy rebound from Friday. Nasdaq closed at its highest level in over a month, continuing their upward trend. On Monday, Dow ended the day trading session up by 0.76% (254.07 points) higher to 33,629.56. Previous day close was 33,375.49.

Asian stocks were mostly up in thin trade on Monday as markets in Hong Kong, Singapore, Singapore, and mainland China closed due to Lunar New Year festivities. Chinese markets will not resume trading on January 30. On Monday, Nikkei ended the day trading session up by 1.33% (352.51 points) higher to 26,906.04. Previous day close was 26,553.53.
The dovish Fed comments that helped to offset investors’ concerns about a slowdown in the global economy led to European stock markets being generally more volatile Monday. On Monday, FTSE 100 ended the day trading session up by 0.18% (14.08 points) higher to 7,784.67. Previous day close was 7,770.59.
