European stock markets were unable to find direction on Wednesday as investors anxiously awaited the earnings reports of several U.S. and European companies for guidance cues. On Wednesday, FTSE 100 ended the day trading session down by -0.16% (-12.49 points) lower to 7,744.87. Previous day close was 7,757.36.
On Wednesday, Asian shares rose on the expectation that the U.S. Federal Reserve would slow down rate hikes. This was due to slower wage growth and higher inflation. On Wednesday, Nikkei ended the day trading session up by 0.35% (95.82 points) higher to 27,395.01. Previous day close was 27,299.19.
